What’s proposed: 4,100 dwellings and around 85ha of open space including 40ha of riparian and biodiversity corridors.
Our role: We are acting as masterplanner and developer for the entire project. A quarter of the project is being developed in a partnering arrangement with Australand and Allam homes. The Ponds provides a crucial supply of land and housing pending the development of other privately held land in the northwest growth centre.
Where it’s up to: Delivery phase, with over 3000 lots sold. Civil works for subdivision, services, infrastructure and the public domain are currently underway. Built form product, including product targeted to moderate income households is complete by Australand. Bushland conservation and regeneration works are being undertaken by Greening Australia.
Features: The development features three schools, a community resource hub and lakefront community centre, 7,000m2 of retail area, and major open space that includes two sporting field complexes and environmental conservation and riparian corridors. We are also delivering a public art and community development program to promote cultural identity and a sense of place. Financial and other incentives have been developed to encourage residents to support energy efficiency initiatives, including solar power.
