Where: Camden Valley Way, Hume Highway and Zouch Road
Council: Campbelltown and Liverpool
Area: The entire release area is 795ha of which 400ha is owned by Landcom.
What’s proposed: A major release area in the South West Growth Centre comprising two suburbs, Edmondson Park and Bardia, with potential for around 8,200 dwellings, a Town Centre with up to 45,000m2 of retail and commercial space, community facilities, schools and 150ha of regional open space. Landcom’s holdings will deliver approximately 3,600 dwellings and a combined primary/high school.
Our role: We facilitated early precinct and infrastructure planning for the entire area. In addition, we are coordinating and constructing major infrastructure such as lead in sewers, electricity lines and road upgrades. These works together with lots delivered under the 10,000 Homesite Programme are catalysing development for surrounding landowners.
Where it’s up to: Sales in Stage 1 at Bardia commenced in November 2012 and have been strong throughout 2013 and 2014. Bardia Park at the entry to Stage 1 includes public art. Brigade Park with its bushland setting, playground, fitness equipment and bbq facilities, is the perfect spot to enjoy the great outdoors. The construction of the Edmondson Park Train Station is nearing completion with rail services scheduled to commence in 2015.
Features: A regional park, extensive riparian corridors, a proposed bus/ rail interchange located in the heart of the town centre, good access to the nearby M5 and M7 motorways and a bus transit-way.
